Centre Alexis Vautrin chooses MACRO
InferMed today announced that the Centre Alexis Vautrin in Nancy has purchased MACRO, its electronic data collection (EDC) system for running clinical trials. The Centre Alexis Vautrin is the fourth cancer institute in France to become a MACRO user along with the Institut Gustave-Roussy, the Institut Curie, both in Paris and the Institut Bergonié in Bordeaux. This shared experience will be of increasing mutual benefit to the various centres, as they form a group of users with similar issues and an opportunity to support each other in their use of MACRO.
Speaking of InferMed’s latest customer, Mark Snell, Marketing Manager at InferMed said, “We are pleased to see the continuing growth of our French customer base, in particular in the area of cancer research and treatment. The Centre Alexis Vautrin is another highly respected centre in this field and it is to our great satisfaction that they have chosen MACRO as the data collection tool for their future clinical research.”
Commenting on the choice of MACRO, Dr Elisabeth Luporsi, Head of the Clinical Research and Biostatistics unit at the institute said, “Having seen MACRO in successful use at other French cancer centres and having reviewed the functionality of the MACRO system, we were confident that it could be integrated into the working practices and future plans of our centre also. We look forward to seeing the process and performance benefits that such technology will bring with time.”
