KKS M?nster joins MACRO user community
InferMed today announced that the Coordinating Centre for Clinical Trials in Münster (KKS-MS) has become the seventh German KKS to join the community of users of InferMed’s MACRO electronic data collection (EDC) software.
This further strengthens the broad coalition of standardised MACRO usage across a large part of the German academic network and with commercial involvement in many of the trials being planned, MACRO usage in Germany continues to grow.
The KKS-MS is involved in all areas of clinical studies, its main focus being the performance of clinical trials in accordance with the guidelines of good clinical practice. Its principal activities are clinical trial design and planning, data management and logistics, monitoring, biometrical evaluation and education.
Speaking of the decision, Achim Heinecke, KKS-MS Business Development Manager, said, “The integration of MACRO into the KKS-MS processes will allow us to build on the success we have had to date and strengthen our capability in our areas of principal activity. We look forward to working with InferMed to capitalise on the benefits that the MACRO solution can bring.”
InferMed’s Marketing Manager, Mark Snell, commented, “The other six KKS organisations using MACRO have already made a great contribution to the MACRO user community and we are naturally delighted to see another of the influential Clinical Trial Coordinating Centres using MACRO. We also look forward to our partnership with KKS-MS and to seeing MACRO incorporated into their clinical trial programme.”
Since MACRO’s introduction in 1999, information from more than 75,000 patients from hundreds of sites in over 35 countries have been collected in Phase I, II, III, IV trials and epidemiological surveys.
