InferMed provides a global hosting service through its strategic partners to offer a secure validated environment in which clients can run MACROTM clinical studies. With this service clinical trial sponsors can use MACRO on a trial-by-trial basis and avoid the need for investment in infrastructure.

The hosted service:

  • Provides a secure, validated environment for running clinical studies

  • Avoids the need for the sponsor to purchase expensive hardware

  • Can be rapidly deployed

  • Distributes licence payments across the duration of the study

  • Avoids the need for the client to install or support software

InferMed’s Clinical Gateway, the automatic link that bridges MACRO with Oracle Clinical, can also be hosted by its strategic partners.

The hosting premises

The hosting facilities are provided in a highly secure environment protected against physical intrusion via automatic intrusion detection, burglar alarms, biometric access control and video surveillance. The facility is guarded 24x7.

Secure access connection

The hosting partners have a defined Information Security Policy, an additional Non-disclosure Agreement signed with employees to protect customer proprietary information, a city-level disaster recovery site maintained and tested and an IT facility that operates under strict controls (Firewall, Antivirus, Intrusion detection and regular back-up on tapes).

They also have clearly defined back-up, anti-virus and patch policies, customers are logically segregated through VLAN implementation and real-time performance monitoring is in place.

Help desk

The hosting partner Help Desk is a single point-of-contact, where Sites and CRAs are able to receive functional help and report incidents or request information.
