Arezzo® is now at the heart of many successful healthcare settings. For further information on any of the following, please contact us.

NHS PCTs and Trusts

Arezzo Pathways is a web-based solution designed to support busy practising clinicians. Arezzo Pathways takes the best clinical evidence available, matches it with an individual patient’s condition and provides a recommended care pathway specifically for that patient. Arezzo Pathways generates decision options, takes into account predictive risk factors and enables tailored prescribing and complete care pathway planning. This leads to reduced costs, fewer hospital admissions and elimination of variance.

Arezzo Pathways is configurable to meet local clinical practice needs and can take into account medication of choice, local resource provision and information relating to patient circumstances. Arezzo Pathways generates an end-to-end care pathway, designed to suit local needs and practices.

One example of this in practice is an evaluation initiated by the Medicines Management Team to ensure best practice guidelines for COPD patients with a confirmed diagnosis are adhered to. The project seeks to ensure that all patients are on the appropriate clinical pathway for their individual circumstances, and that their medication regime is relevant and in accordance with PCT directives and the latest clinical guidelines.

GP Systems

Arezzo is being used in an integrated solution with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The Arezzo-based application integrates with the EMR system to allow GP access to best practice guidelines, displaying the results and recommendations within their own system. This avoids duplication of data-entry whilst coupling the recommendations with charting, prescribing, referral and order entry capabilities. Any additional information for which a GP is prompted, for example regarding diagnosis and treatment, or indeed variance information, is returned back into the EMR system from Arezzo.

In New Zealand InferMed partner BPAC Inc. (Best Practice Advocacy Centre) has integrated Arezzo with patient records from New Zealand’s 4,000 GPs providing the most up-to-date clinical guidance to support clinicians at the point of care and to reduce the possibility of errors. This solution has been in use for almost two years and over 1,000,000 Arezzo consultations have been recorded.

Globally-based National Health Organisations

Arezzo is being used to power patient self-diagnosis tools, making information available more easily and more quickly to patients online.

The prime example is InferMed’s partnership with NHS Direct to provide patients with Arezzo-based Health and Symptom Checkers for patients to use over the web. This project is of strategic importance to NHS Direct, laying the foundation for the future of digital remote care and transforming the way in which people will interact with the NHS.

On January 26th 2011 the NHS Direct Health and Symptom Checkers website won the e-Government National Award in recognition of its innovation in strategy at a national level:

and on October 6th 2011 the site won the EHI 2011 ‘Excellence in major healthcare IT development’ Award:

US-based Private Insurance Companies

Management of chronically ill patients in the US represents a significant cost to private health insurance companies and it is vital that these patients receive the highest quality clinical care at reasonable cost. The Arezzo technology is the engine behind an application that merges best practice clinical evidence with actuarial cost tables to provide personalised decision support for the most cost-effective, high-quality clinical care.
