InferMed releases version 4 of its advanced EDC solution MACRO

London, UK, 22 April 2010...InferMed, the global provider of solutions supporting best practice in medicine, today announced the introduction of MACRO v4, the latest version of its electronic data capture solution for clinical research. This latest release provides users with significantly increased interoperability and performance, greater scalability, embedded advanced decision support capabilities through the Arezzo® technology and enhanced ease of deployment and usability.This major and comprehensive product release is designed to bring considerable benefit to MACRO users in the following areas:

  • Intuitive navigation through an enhanced user interface that retains MACRO's legendary ease-of-use
  • A reduction in the complexity of deploying and maintaining data capture software via improved deployment tools
  • Dramatically improved response times and scalability allowing implementation of the most complex studies without worry
  • Advanced interoperability allowing MACRO to easily link with other clinical information systems such as Electronic Health Records
  • Significant savings in overall cost of ownership through deep integration with the Total Clinical™ suite of trial management software from InferMed's partner Aris Global

MACRO v4's new Data Entry and Data Review interface integrates industry best practices for system workflow and ease-of-use, so that existing users will experience an enhanced and more intuitive workspace, whilst new users will quickly acquire the navigation skills and workflow concepts with minimal training.

System development and software maintenance processes have also been streamlined in MACRO v4, delivering quicker turnaround on support call resolution and user-requested enhancements. The net effect of this and all the other quality and system enhancements in MACRO v4 will in turn result in increased revenue streams and decreased service costs for MACRO users.
